Couldn’t have asked for a better experience or surgeon team. They were all so comforting and made me feel safe. I was awake for the procedure and they made sure to keep checking in on me to see if I was okay. I am still in recovery but I’m able to text the surgeon any concerns and he always responds! I feel taken care of 100%. Thank you all so much!!

First you should know I am a lifelong dental-phobic because I was born with a bleeding disorder. I get anxiety at the thought of a procedure and I require a patient doctor who listens to my concerns and spends the time to explain things in detail. That said, I could not have asked for better care!! Everyone’s kind, professional, very knowledgeable and caring. I’ve never had such a great experience and I highly recommend Dr. McElveen if you need oral surgery.

Very friendly staff! Had a 12:00 noon appointment showed up at 11am they got me in zero question, so customer service was beyond great and highly appreciated. The online screening process prior was alittle excessive to say the least sheeesh. Do this at home prior people on a computer because on a phone took easily 20 mins.

When I called to schedule my consultation, I spoke with Kevin. He was so kind and had me set up with an appointment quickly. Was there for a consultation and when Dr John seen I was in pain he came up with a game plan to relieve my pain so I didn’t have to wait for the full procedure I am having done. Everyone I came in contact with from the time I waked in for my appointment to when I was done were fabulous!!

The staff here is amazing. I needed an emergency operation and they got me in the next day. Almost a week later I had a complication and when I called, the question they asked was, "Can you come in right now?". The work is good and everything was explained very thoroughly.

All I can say is WOW , thank you God . From the moment I walked in I knew I was going to be in great hands. As I was greeted by Tori when first getting in , a soft warm smile and a calm voice, felt like my care was the only thing mattered to her . After Tori helped me with my paperwork and insurance policy. I couldn’t help but to see how Clean and Modern the office is . Tori insured me I would be fine. Then I was called back by a nurse named Nichole and she also had a warm smile and voice as I got in the room, I looked around and everything was nice and clean and organized VERY PROFESSIONAL. Nichole explained everything to me so I could understand what was going to happen and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I was nervous, Nichole warmly said relax we are going to take great care of you. She said the doctor will be in to see me in a minute. Thirty seconds later the doctor walked in and apologized for the wait and indicated himself to me with a very nice hand shake and smile. Dr. John McElveen was so completely understanding with me and what I needed to be done.Dr. McElveen asked me if I had questions and I did. He answered every question with clarity. I explained to Dr. McElveen that I was having surgery in six days . Dr. McElveen said I will take care of you and get the pain from you teeth. Dr. McElveen always had a smile and a comforting voice. Before the procedure Dr. McElveen said if at any time I was in pain or discomfort to just raise my left hand. Needless to say I didn’t have to raise my hand. Dr. McElveen was so kind I mean Really Kind and just so gentle with everything he did. Dr. McElveen went above and beyond more than I asked or Even Paid For. That’s the kind of Doctor You Want To Take Care of You, I feel. Just so Personal with great bedside manner. That’s hard to find nowadays, but You Will Find It at California Oral Surgery and Implant in St. Mary’s Maryland. If you are reading this and you need oral surgery , don’t hesitate or think twice about going here . The Staff and Dr. John McElveen will take great care of you. I can testify to that !!! Glad Dr. McElveen has a new location in St. Mary's county. He is a great surgeon. He and his team take every step to make you comfortable and involved in every thing going on. They go out of their way to put your needs first and focus on you instead of the surgery. He has a very gentle touch and had no pain during the procedure and have only had minimal pain after. Extremely professional yet they have a very personal touch. You walk away being well cared for and feel cared about.

If only I could give more than 5 stars. Dr. McElveen hands down is AMAZING! Top tier in professionalism and in the care he gives his patients. Let’s not forget his awesome staff too! If you are looking , look no longer!!

Fantastic experience! I had an emergency with an imbedded tooth and even though they were closed, one of the surgeons stayed after hours to consult with me and they got me in for surgery the next morning, leaving with the best case scenario possible for my tooth considering the risk factors. 100% highly recommend, the care is amazing and the entire staff is fantastic.

I got my teeth extracted earlier this week and California oral and implant were amazing. They got me in quickly. Gave me a price estimate right away and even helped explain what was and wasn’t covered with my insurance. During the extraction I had a small panic attack because of my fear of needles and injections. And the team did a great job helping me relax and preformed the actual extraction quickly without any more issues. They called me today to follow up with my healing and made sure I had the dentists number in case I had more questions. Can’t recommend them enough!
